NWRESD Safety Care

Initial Training

Location: Pacific Ridge Elementary School,

2000 Spruce Dr, Seaside, OR 97138

October 21st-22nd, 2021 

from 8:30am-3:30pm each day

Safety Care is a competency-based crisis prevention training program for professional staff who work with individuals who have potential for dangerous behavior.  It was developed and is provided by QBS, Inc.  Sarah Walker of Northwest Regional ESD will provide the training.

This training is for school staff that work with students that have complex behavioral needs.

Certification of completion will be provided after training.

• You must attend both days from 8:30am to 3:30pm in order to receive certification.
• Bring your own face mask regardless of vaccination status.
• Wear comfortable clothing and shoes; be prepared for activities on the floor. There is a water fountain located in the hallway or you can bring your own water bottle to refill.
• Lunch break will provided from to 12-12:30pm on your own and please eat outside the building.
• Participants should provide for their own food needs.
