Preschool-Elementary ABA & Evidence-Based Practices Workshop
February 25-26, 2020 at NWRESD from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm

This two-day workshop is appropriate for teachers, assistants, related service providers, specialists, and administrators working with students with ASD and other related developmental disabilities.

Participants will receive training on how to use the following ABA instructional strategies:

-Discrete trial training

-Pivotal response training

-Teaching functional routines

-Positive behavior intervention and supports as used in the STAR Program

    Workshop Presenters

    Oregon Program Autism Training Sites (OrPATS) and NWRESD support staff.

    Additional Information

    -This free workshop is being provided by funding from OrPATS and is co-sponsored by Northwest Regional ESD. 

    -ODE grant funding is available for reimbursement of staff substitute pay to cover attendance at OrPATS training.  This request must be approved prior to the start of the workshop.  With limited funding, approval will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

    -A total of 12 PDUs will be awarded for attendance.  ESD Employees: sign-up on Frontline to receive your PDUs directly to your Professional Development log. Registration for the class is still required on this site.

    -Light snacks will be provided, along with coffee and tea, before and after lunch.

    -Lunch will be on your own.  The attached food map shows local restaurants and where food can be purchased for lunch.

    -Conference room temperatures can vary throughout the day, therefore, we recommend that you wear layers.
