Preschool-Elementary Evidence-Based Practices Workshop
October 4-5, 2018 at NWRESD from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm
This two-day workshop is designed for pre-school and elementary school staff intending to implement evidence-based practices using the STAR curriculum with students. Some instructional strategies you will learn:
- Teaching functional routines.
- Pivotal response training.
- Use of STAR Program positive behaviour intervention and supports.
Oregon Program Autism Training Sites (OrPATS) and NWRESD support staff.
-This free workshop is being provided by funding from OrPATS and is co-sponsored by Northwest Regional ESD.
-ODE grant funding is available for reimbursement of staff substitute pay to cover attendance at OrPATS training. This request must be approved prior to the start of the workshop. With limited funding, approval will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

-A total of 12 PDUs will be awarded for attendance.
-Light snacks will be provided, along with coffee and tea, before and after lunch.
-Lunch will be on your own. The attached food map shows local restaurants and where food can be purchased for lunch.
-Conference room temperatures can vary throughout the day, therefore, we recommend that you wear layers.
